I had big ideas of how to start this blog, but as I was preparing my space, gettin gmy tea, I turned on the TV and saw that Egypt has their freedom! I couldn’t help but start crying. My passion for freedom is due in part to our love story. My hubby is half cuban. His grandparents have been in the US since 1969 and have lived a full, hard, life. Seeing Egypt get it’s freedom gives me hope that Cuban may soon follow. So I’m teary and realizing how blessed I am, and so thankful for a country who unifies itself and overcomes opposition. Praise the Lord!
I shall update you on the latest goings on and then post a new blog that will start my Valentine’s Contribution to my sweet Hubby.
I have done a bit more training and feel like getting my own store is right around the corner. I am realizing more and more that I love Starbucks. I love who we are, what we stand for and our passion for our world. I have lots of ideas and desires for my store and how I can incorporate my passion for the world into our community involvement.
My hubs band has begun solidifying summer plans and is definitely playing 5 main stages this summer at music festivals. I believe they have many more in talks and are guaranteed at least 10 festivals so far. I’m so excited. Festival directors are starting to see, and buy into the passion that Photoside’s music creates. They are so unique, and it’s been a tough, tough road. But they are growing, constantly growing.
I think my camera is dying.
This is super sad. Worst news ever right? I’m starting to notice it flicker and shut off every once and a while. So I’m slightly nervous. I really want to make photography a legitimate side business, but, goodness it’s hard!
I have major baby fever.
REAL BAD. REAL REAL BAD.
My belly aches for a little one.
I think I mostly want a kiddo of my own is because I can’t wait to see how Hubs loves on him or her. He’s gonna be such a great Pappy…or Dad…or “Ol’ Man”…hmm. We’ll work on that one.
To that end, can you tell him that the name “Zebulun” is awesome? I know a Zeb. He’s cool. Plus Zebulun was one of the 12 brothers who became the nations of Israel and was close to Naphtali (another one of the 12 tribes) so it’s fitting right?
I’m sorry I haven’t sent you any new recipes lately. I usually cook pretty late, because we live on latin time. And in case you didn’t know, Chicago actually has winter. Yeah, not my favorite season, that’s for sure. So by the time I take pics it’s real dark. Unfortunately I really don’t have an excuse since my awesome Christmas present was lightly gear.
Oh life.
Well onto the love story.
