So remember that time, less than 3 months ago, that I got the new Iphone 4? My first ever smart phone? The reason I haven’t gotten lost in the city for that whole time? The device that has been keeping me occupied and awake on my early mornings to work, and not to mention getting me up and out the door to the bus on time?
Yeah. Well.
Some jerk on the bus stole it from me. And not only from me, but right out of my hand.
So I’m disconnected. Completely.
And we aren’t sure how I’m going to get another phone.
We called AT & T and some newbie on the phone said that, since we got that phone as the 2 year upgrade, we would have to pay full price for another one. Which just seems ridiculous since it’s not my fault that I was stolen from, and I have a police report, and I’m broke.
So goodbye beautiful thing which I knew for only a few months. Perhaps we’ll meet again.
Fingers crossed, prayers appreciated, for when we go talk to AT & T in the store tomorrow. Let’s hope that there is some empathy or something.
I just have to say the most frustrating thing about it all is that I try to be decent. You know. Like a woman saw me talking on the phone with my hubby yesterday, stopped and asked me for directions. And I stopped and Google Mapped them for her and told her how to get there…and I try and do this often because I believe in human decency. But apparently that isn’t enough.
Bah. I’m so frustrated.
I meant to write you a cute little story today about some memories of mine that would make you laugh, but instead you got this sad mess of a human.
