My Fantastic Gifts

This was a very successful Christmastime.

We went to a fantastic Candlelight Service at Moody Bible Church. It was refreshing to be with so many other people who still remember the reason for the season (just because it rhymes doesn’t mean it’s not true) and get together to celebrate.

It was gorgeous. There was a quartet, an organist (see those pipes back there? Yeah it’s like 1/2 of the pipes that the church has) and a fantastic pianist as well as the MC/Singer. Then one of my favorite pastor’s, Dr. Erwin Lutzer, gave a little sermon. It was so refreshing.

Because PW was doing a Bohke contest I took a couple pictures to submit, like this one.

I am satisfied. And it reminds me a little of home.

I didn’t win but a whole new world has been opened up to me.

I do feel like the hardest part of the season was not being in Maine with the rest of the family. All the siblings and the newest addition, SeƱor Wyatt, were all together. And though they weren’t all there for the Christmas Eve service, I missed that as well. My Pa does a great job, he’s a pastor if you didn’t know.

Then we went on home and got a little shut eye. We had a friend stay with us for Christmas, which he also did last year, and it was real fun. He’s like a brother to us. He’s from Austria, so doesn’t have family in the US and can’t travel for such a short amount of time.

Anywho, the giftaroos. My fantastic hubby knew just what to get me.

This is what my gifts look liked.

Yeah that’s right, he got me lighting gear, a tripod and an awesome camera bag. He also got me a mortar and pestle, and some other kitchen things I really wanted.

I look awful but I was so happy. Bahhhh!

I got him a sweater that wasn’t his style, a shirt that didn’t fit, a blue ray movie and a game he’s been wanting for a while.

So I was like 1/2 successful and he was like 1000% successful. He’s amazing.

I love him. He is part of my new years resolution.

I’ll tell you about that later.

Our friend got us this phenomenal gift.
