This can go two ways: Oh Snap, I’m back (and I rhyme cuz it ain’t no crime…blah…corny) or Oh Snap I’ve taken a ton of pictures lately an am so excited to show everything to you that has been monumental and important in my life these days.
The biggest event has been this:
Oh…sorry…wrong picture.
Or is it?
Well you’ll hear about how I got this picture later but I’m ok if you feel like you need to stare for a second.
I hope the fruit of our loins (dirty, not so much?) have his nice tookus…oh the beauty of having Cuban blood!
Where we were before we all got so flushed?
Oh right…the biggest event:
The reason this is so big is because:
1. I had all our stuff in it. It has been cozy hanging in the garage of some friends of ours from the town we used to live in.
2. It drove us up to Chicago with all that stuff and cost us a bit less than we expected.
3. It took about 20 minutes, three men, a nervous wife and 4 flights of stairs to get this truck in the back of our building and up it’s contents to our place.
4. It was the catalyst to making me feel like I finally now live in Chicago an I’m not going anywhere else. At least for now…other than when I come visit you Nanna….and Daddy…and Mommy..ok…all of you…but you know what I mean.
So here is the photo journal of our trip:
This is the first time I’d seen the truck…way too big for what we needed.
This is my husband who was really tired of me taking pictures and ready for me to get my butt over there and help him to get this stupid mattress out.
If you’re looking for a good friend to come over and help you pack up, this is your guy. He may sleep until 4pm but he is a strong, burly, college educated, single fellow, born in Bangladesh, raised in Austria, living in the USA. He’s our pal Faisal. I have lots to tell you about him but that is for another day.
The packing was easy. Getting the darn truck into the backside of our building was a whole other story.
Talk about a 100 point turn…
I stopped watching after I saw the gate shake a couple times. I decided to head back on inside so that I didn’t have to have a nervous breakdown.
When I came back, this is what I found:
Voila! Ok…well maybe the three dudes didn’t exactly get everything cleaned out before I could go down and offer my services. I did have to carry up a few things on my own. But this is how I’ll remember it.
One of the guys helping us had a roommate who ditched him and then left behind a SAWEET queen bed frame.
This beautiful frame is now in the bedroom of our little abode. I’m so excited. It needs a little love, like some screws and stuff but our friend is fixing that all up and not letting us pay…he’s real swell.
When things are settled I get you a better picture of it because this just doesn’t do the beauty any justice.
Then the real fun of unpacking began.
Is it retarded that I was most excited to pull these things out:
I’m exhausted just looking at all this! Peace out and see you next time!

P.S.. we always seem to be the ones who are told to get our butts over there and help, but the photos we take are so priceless!
We are documenting our history.
