So there are just a few things I really can’t handle when it comes to baby decor. I am allowing myself to really explore pink and how classy it can look but I have a really hard time with the typical, extra girly, cliche pink thinks. I’m also opinionated patterns and designs. I’m trying to be flexible but considering I just got rid of a bunch of thrift store paraphernalia, I’m not looking to replace it with more tacky things.
Exhibit 1:

Though I love onesies, I love flowers and I love pink, I just dont’ care for all of them all together all the time. Too much floral.
Exhibit 2:

I love the shirt. I can’t do animal print. She may look cute in it, but it’s never something I’ve owned and I just am not sure I want it in her wardrobe.
Exhibit 3

Must I explain?
Exhibit E

Wow. There are several things here. But let’s stick with the most obvious. We are hoping to have several children. I’d like to think that I can potentially keep the same diaper bag thru-out that time, or at least for the first few. I, therefore, would love to have a bag that is functional, not gender specific, and worth being a purse and a diaper bag. Butterflies, flowers and patterns like this…yipes.
I also don’t like the idea of the bag being so big and expansive that I’m searching forever for what I need while I have a screaming baby on my hip.
Exhibit Q

Too many patterns, too wide, not enough pockets, no shoulder sling. Done.
Exhibit X

Again, girliness overload.
Ok.
This is all I’m going to do for right now. I keep finding things I don’t love and I need to take time to look at things that make me excited.
Sorry that my “tomorrow” happened to be two days later.
Thanks for being patient.

Miranda says:
I totally get your vibes here, sis, and you’re fab. I like that you don’t want to overdo the girl with well… GIRL.. but there is definitely a classy way to do pink and accent it. I’m trying to do that with boy stuff–I am staying away from ALL sports themed things.. boys do many other activities, especially while small and fragile, and I prefer to think of my little son with sweet little animals and soft nature hues, etc. You know, things that are liveable. Things I’ll probably still want to look at in a year. Not any of the aforementioned items you have nicely categorized. End. Of. Story.
