Summer Season Begins

Well this summer has been really a whirlwind of plans that keep changing. Hubs and I keep saying that we are going through such a strange season of life. Someone I talked to said that this part of our life is all about being in a state of anxiety and allowing that to be ok. Which sounds like a paradox to me. At least is sunny so that helps the coping a bit!

So I started off thinking this summer I’d be all alone because Naph usually is on a long tour and I never really have many friends around. Well this year, I’ve been blessed with a group of girls I’m starting to get to know and who have promised to hang while Hubs is gone.

Then Hubs brother moved up here for the summer with a good friend of his and are living close enough to us to hang out all the time. They are both a major hoot and have brought a lot more laughter into this little home.

Now my Hubs has left for tour this morning but my SISTER is coming for about two weeks with my sweet darling nephew. I get to play with and laugh with (at) the little stinker. I only wish I had tons of vacation hours I could use while their here. Still, it’s going to be an extra busy couple weeks, but it’ll be so great to be active and busy instead of sitting on my couch watching Criminal Minds all day.

Then right after they take off I’m trying to head off to a festival Hubs will be at to see him perform on Main stage. We’ve been going to this festival for about 5 years and this is the second year their on Main stage, but this time they are the evening opener which means they are going to get a much bigger crowd. So exciting. I really hope it works out and I don’t miss it, because I would kick myself around the block if I did.

In other news I am down a full 3.6 pounds. I had lost that in the first week but gained back 1.2 pounds because we were gone to a funeral down south were people love to eat. Hehe. But I’ve forced myself to get out of the house and workout a bit more so I’m noticing a change in the body of mine which makes me happy. It’s about time! I’m so chubs. My sister is not chubs. She will be my motivation to shape up over the next two weeks. Good times, good times.

Ok time to get ready for work.

Lovies!
